Steamed Dumplings Recipe

These steamed dumplings are a traditional Chinese dish that is simple to prepare and delicious to eat. They are steamed to perfection after being filled with a flavorful mixture of ground pork, napa cabbage, green onions, garlic, and ginger. They make an excellent appetiser or snack and go well with a variety of dipping sauces.

  • Total Time: 42 minutes

Instructions

  • Combine the ground pork, chopped napa cabbage, green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, salt, black pepper, and beaten egg in a large mixing bowl.
  • Place a dumpling wrapper on a clean work surface and fill it with a small spoonful of the pork mixture.
  • Moisten the edges of the wrapper with your finger.
  • To seal, fold the wrapper in half and press the edges together.
  • Rep with the rest of the dumpling wrappers and filling.
  • Steam the dumplings for 10-12 minutes, or until cooked through, in a steamer basket.
  • Serve immediately with your preferred dipping sauce.
