These fried cabbage dumplings are a tasty and simple appetiser or side dish. The filling is savoury and flavorful, with a satisfying crunch from the crispy fried wrapper. They're perfect for parties or snacking on at any time.

Instructions

  • Combine the chopped cabbage, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, soy sauce, sesame oil, and sugar in a large mixing bowl.
  • Fill each dumpling wrapper with a tablespoon of the cabbage mixture.
  • To seal, fold the wrapper in half and press the edges together.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the vegetable oil.
  • Cook the dumplings for 2-3 minutes, or until the bottoms are golden brown.
  • Cover the skillet with a tight-fitting lid after pouring in the water.
  • Allow the dumplings to steam for 5-7 minutes, or until the wrappers are fully cooked.
  • Cook the dumplings without the lid until the remaining liquid has evaporated and the bottoms are crispy.
  • Serve immediately with your preferred dipping sauce.
