Blueberry Dumplings Recipe

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine blueberries, 1/4 cup sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Place aside.
  • In a separate medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • To the flour mixture, stir in the milk and melted butter until just combined.
  • Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the blueberry mixture.
  • 1/4 cup sugar and water should be combined in a small saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves.
  • Pour over the batter the sugar mixture.
  • Bake the dumplings for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and the blueberries are bubbling.
