Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine blueberries, 1/4 cup sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Place aside.
- In a separate medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- To the flour mixture, stir in the milk and melted butter until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the blueberry mixture.
- 1/4 cup sugar and water should be combined in a small saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves.
- Pour over the batter the sugar mixture.
- Bake the dumplings for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and the blueberries are bubbling.
