Instructions

  • Combine the ground chicken, minced onion, minced dill, salt, black pepper, egg, and breadcrumbs in a large mixing bowl.
  • Combine thoroughly.
  • Form the mixture into small 1 inch diameter balls.
  • Flour-coat the chicken balls.
  • Bring the chicken broth to a simmer in a large pot.
  • Cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the chicken balls are cooked through.
  • Take the chicken balls out of the pot and set them aside.
  • Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Whisk in the flour to combine.
  • Gradually whisk in the chicken broth until the mixture thickens into a gravy.
  • Serve the chicken dumplings with the gravy on the side.
