Gyoza Fried Dumplings Recipe

Gyoza Fried Dumplings are a tasty Japanese dish that consists of a flavorful pork and cabbage filling wrapped in a thin dough wrapper and fried until crispy. This recipe is simple to prepare and ideal for a quick and filling meal or snack.

  • Cook Time: 10 minutes
  • Total Time: 40 minutes

Instructions

  • Combine the ground pork, shredded cabbage, green onions, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and cornflour in a large mixing bowl.
  • Combine thoroughly.
  • Place a gyoza wrapper on a flat surface and fill with a tablespoon of the pork filling.
  • Run your finger around the edge of the wrapper in water.
  • Fold the wrapper in half, pressing the edges together with your fingers to seal.
  • Rep with the rest of the wrappers and filling.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the vegetable oil.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the bottoms are golden brown, before adding the dumplings.
  • Cover the skillet with 1/2 cup of water right away.
  • Cook for 4-5 minutes, or until the dumplings are done and the liquid has evaporated.
  • Serve hot with soy sauce or your favourite dipping sauce.
